We provide professional audio restoration/repair, post production and mixing services. We specialize in noise reduction and removal.   Audio recorded at 24-bit 48Hz (or higher) usually works best for quality but we can work with just about anything.  It can be in WAV, AIFF, or MP3 formats.

Background noise, amp hum, plosives, low frequency rumble, sibilance, crackle, click track bleed, mic bumps, excessive room reflections, etc.  We get rid of those and more.  Our goal is to optimize the sound you want and minimize the noise you don’t.

Like most things, you can’t have your cake and eat it too.  There are always compromises to be made.  Clicks, pops, and bumps, while easily spotted visually in the waveform, can be bears to get rid of without damaging the original audio.  Not to mention all the other sins that can creep in to your recordings because of the environment or equipment.  The sheer number of them can be overwhelming!

“You don’t have to be great ALL the time.  But you have to be great WHEN it’s time.”  -Celine Dion

Our ears are quite forgiving during live performances unless a mistake is just blatantly obvious.  The same isn’t true for recordings.  Even a small mistake or noise will haunt you forever!  Many try to clean these things up on their own.  And you can certainly buy the technology and use it.  But having the right tools and the right experience and skill at the right time saves time, money and aggravation.

We will provide a fixed price quote after reviewing your project and discussing your needs.  You can send us your audio and we’ll send a sample back to you within 1-2 business days.  Sometimes the work requires deeper editing and in those cases our hourly rate is $65.  Below are some examples of typical costs for various services.

Restoration and Noise Reduction:

$35 per song for tape or vinyl record conversion to digital form (without deep editing).

$35 per audio program (up to 4 minutes in length) for dialog replacement (with prerecorded voiceovers)

$85-195 to clean up dialog and background noise for a 30 minute video program

$20 setup and approximately $5 per stem track (usually only tracks recorded using a mic require cleaning but sometimes direct outputs from amps introduce hum)

Mixing:

$100 per song (this includes noise removal) if you have already recorded the stem tracks.  With it you get 2 revisions, a high quality WAV file ready for mastering and a mixed MP3 provided in your choice of stereo or mono.

Note: Pricing for all of the services is based on a typical one to four minute audio program (song).  We’ll provide a fixed price estimate for longer audio programs or larger projects.  Just ask.

Mobile recording services are available at $85 per hour plus travel expense.
